Pentaho - Open Source Business Intelligence

Today, has taken place in Lisbon a small event about Pentaho: Open Source Business Intelligence.

Similarly to Alfresco (Open Source ECM), Pentaho has a Community Edition (free) and an Enteprise edition.

According to Pentaho, the cost of this Open Source solution is 80% lower than a traditional BI solution.With such a low cost, it is worth to at least give it a try.

Additionally, in order to get real BI, your company should at least have establish practices for Information Creation and Storoge.
